Darwinism FAQ


Q.  Isn't Darwin's central idea of Natural Selection self-evidently true? How can anyone deny that cumulative selection is the primary mechanism of evolution?

Q.  Hasn't Speciation been observed  experimentally?  The evolution FAQ in talk.origins lists a dozen or more examples of speciation.  How can you dismiss such evidence?

Q. What about the Beak of the Finch?  Isn't this, as author Jonathan Weiner says, an example of  "Evolution in real time"?

Q. And what about the evidence of Homology?  Isn't this pretty much conclusive evidence for common ancestry and common processes of adaptation over the generations?

Q. Surely you have seen the convincing skeletal evidence for the evolution of the horse family?  How can you dismiss it?

Q. What other rational theory is there to account for the plant and animal kingdoms we see today?

Q. You're not even a scientist, merely a journalist.  What qualifies you to challenge the work of dozens of professional scientists of experience, intelligence and integrity?

Q. Doesn't the series of scientific papers published in the talk-origins FAQ give the real scientific evidence for Darwinism?
